From Barbara and Vic Norman: We were so lucky to have known John for so many years spent in Portugal and socially in England. So what was John like? My experience of typical John was when I did some decorating in their apartment. Hazel left a cold lunch for John and myself - because John was going to help me Hazel left us to it. We started about 10am. Well at about 11am John suggested coffee so I declined and said perhaps later, and John carried on with his paper. We had lunch at 12.30.
