He will always be my best man!

My memories of John begin at my Wedding in 1972 when he was best man and will continue to be “my best man”.

John had such a presence he was such a wonderful man.  He had the best laughs and the best hugs! John made me laugh with Hazel a while ago, saying he couldn’t believe he was still looking after me after all these years and I am now 71. But I am extremely grateful he was.

One very special memory for me was spending my 60th Birthday in Portugal with John and Hazel, eating,  drinking, talking and sight seeing all organised by amazing Hazel.

In recent years of long weekend visits in Newmarket , with barbecues in the rain, John knew I could talk for all of Australia and the UK.  So in order to give John and Hazel a break from my continuous nattering l learnt to take my sewing.  Which I am sure was appreciated.

He had the love and respect from all my family, they always knew John and Hazel were there for me especially my twins, Alice and Richard.

John was a family man  - devoted to Hazel and his girls, Sarah and Caroline and l have always felt they are my family as well.
